Looking to skip the reservations and restaurants this Valentine's Day? February 14th might fall on a Tuesday, but you can still celebrate love in the comfort of your own home. If it's a party of a two or ten, you can play Cupid this year!
The day after Valentine's Day may be the day to pick up candy, but splurge before and scatter conversation hearts around. You may be getting enough chocolate to break any New Years Resolution, but you can offset it a little by sharing!
Find a cute vase to put those flowers in! Show them off right in the kitchen, or wherever you or your guests will be most. If you're hosting company, set the table with pink and red place mats, reuse holiday red glassware, and sprinkle confetti. You don't have to make a five course meal, just throw something in a crockpot! Or, additionally, pick up something on your way home and transfer to a heart shaped serving dish.
Ordering a pizza or take out and curling up to a movie may sound like the best idea, but why not spend the evening in the kitchen? If you haven't subscribed to a service like Blue Apron, pick out a recipe and go grocery shopping! You can even head to Trader Joe's for some pizza dough to make your own heart shaped pie!
Treat yourself to an easy, stress-free night in by baking cookies and cupcakes! Find some heart shaped cookie cutters or pink and red cupcake liners and indulge your sweet tooth. Whether it's just the two of you or the kids are awake, stock up on pink icing and fun sprinkles to feel the love all week long!
How do you plan on spending your February 14 with your Valentine or Valentines?
